Episode 199: you know what you need
hi friend!
welcome back! on today's episode we're diving back in to the mental health pond - after all, it is mental health awareness month.
over the past week i've come to terms with the fact that i've had to ask for help; that i need more support than i am giving myself right now & that has been a very, very big deal for me.
as a result of asking for help, i've been met with A LOT of opinions; opinions from people whom i love & trust, but...
but here's what i'm finding, their opinions, as much as i appreciate them are based in what they think i need & even more importantly, what they believe.
do you know what i mean? you've told someone what you need & they respond with what they inadvertently need?
here's the big takeaway: their opinions should NOT affect your judgement. at the end of the day YOU know what YOU need. you can seek their counsel but their beliefs, their suggestions are not the end all be all.
you know what you need. dont' be afraid to lean into those needs & to push for what you need.
